Mitchell J. Hope (born June 27, 1994) is an Australian actor and model, known for Down The Way (2012) and Yes Mum (2012). In 2015, he stars as Ben, the son of Beast and Belle, in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Descendants.
Life and Career
Mitchell Hope is best known for starring in the 2012 short films Down The Way, where he played Jonno, and Yes Mum, where he played Ryan. In addition, he has also had minor roles in several movies and series. In 2014, he will play young Tim in an episode of the mini-series Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS.
In 2014, it was announced that he will star in the 2015 Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants as Ben, the teenage son of Beast and Belle. Judy Taylor, Disney Channel's senior vp casting and talent, said: "We were intrigued by Mitchell's natural acting style, boyish charm and winning personality, and when we brought him to Los Angeles to read opposite Dove Cameron, it was apparent that he embodied the inherent good nature of 'Ben' and the sense of fairness that the character represents."
Mitchell is dating On the Wall (2014) actress Tayla Audrey. They have a dog named Harvey.
