Hercules is one of the heroes of Auradon and the protagonist of the 1997 animated film Hercules. He is the father of Herkie.

Before the formation of Auradon[]

He was born as the son of the Gods Zeus and Hera, but when his uncle Hades ordered his minions Pain and Panic to kidnap him and turn him into a mortal, he was raised as one, although retaining great physical strength.
When he grew up and discovered that Zeus was his father, he told him that he can be a God once he proves to be a true hero. For this he was trained by Philoctetes, and later he faced all kinds of monsters, but Zeus told him that that was not enough.
During a battle against the Cyclops, Meg, with whom he was in love, was injured. After that, Meg died, and Hercules went to the Underworld to recover her soul, instantly becoming a hero and thus a God by demonstrating the strength of his heart. However, he gave up being a God so he could be with Meg.

Trivia[]
- Auradon Prep students fight over who would win, him or King Beast.
- He was 18 in Hercules. Since Auradon was founded 20 years ago, he is currently at least 38 years old.
- Interestingly, in an undeveloped sequel to the film Hercules, he was going to have a daughter named Hebe.
